Below are 4 excellent programs that California offers our community at low-cost or no-cost that can help you maintain a healthier life, and take action if you already have a pre-existing condition.
CHDP – The Child Health and Disability Prevention
Is a preventive program that offers health services to low income children and youth in California. Some of the free services provided by CHPD are: Physical examinations, oral health assessments, immunizations, vision screenings, laboratory tests, and more.

Family PACT – Family Planning, Access, Care, and Treatment
Offers free comprehensive family planning services to eligible low-income men and women. It also includes clinical services related to reproductive health like STDs and screening and treatment for cervical cancer. PE For Pregnant Women – The Presumptive Eligibility for Pregnant Women
Is a program created by Medi-Cal to provide immediate, temporary coverage for prenatal care for low-income pregnant women that are in the process of filling out their Medi-Cal application. There are many health care providers throughout Southern California that offer this service, and can also help you with your Medi-Cal application. Every Woman Counts – EWC
Is a free program for California residents that focus on the prevention of cancer through education and early detection.
If you are 40 years old or older, and meet the EWC Income Criteria you might qualify for free Breast Cancer Screenings.
If you are 20 years old or older, and meet the EWC Income Criteria you might qualify for free Cervical Cancer Prevention Information.
